- Classic Attractor Nymph Pattern — The Double Bead Prince Nymph is a weighted variation of the original Prince Nymph, which originated in the 1930s as the Brown Fork-Tailed Nymph by brothers Don and Dick Olson of Minnesota and was popularized in the 1940s by California angler Doug Prince after whom it was named
- Effective General Purpose Attractor — Features a peacock herl body, white biot wings, and red thread collar that create a flashy, buggy profile; the two beads add extra weight for faster sink rate, making it excellent for nymphing rigs in deeper runs, riffles, and pockets
- Premium Double Bead Construction — Hand-tied with two metal beads for added weight and stability, quality peacock herl, forked white biot wings, and a hot-spot collar; built on strong hooks for durability and proper presentation when dead-drifted or in tandem with a smaller dropper fly
- Versatile for Trout Fishing — Works well as a lead fly in double nymph setups or as a searching pattern on freestone rivers, tailwaters, mountain streams, and stillwaters; productive for brook, brown, rainbow, and cutthroat trout across a wide range of conditions and seasons.
- Practical Must-Have Nymph — A reliable all-around pattern that performs when specific hatches are absent; the double bead version helps reach deeper holding lies quickly, making it a useful addition to any trout fly box for consistent subsurface action
